Classes

Classes and group sessions – in-person and live-streamed on Zoom

I’m very happy that some in-person classes are now happening in our light and spacious room at Friends’ Meeting House, overlooking the trees.  These classes are also live-streamed by Zoom (camera on me not those in class).  Other classes are Zoom only at the moment.  The teaching approach is gentle and I hope to share the depth and fullness of yoga in a straightforward way.  See About Sue and Recommendations

Monday 8am is a half-hour practice session, which requires some previous experience. Beginners are welcome in all other classes. Those with experience will be supported to develop and deepen their yoga practice.  Class size is limited (max. 8 people in-person, 15 people total).  Individual health issues and needs are taken into consideration  and choices and guidance offered so that each person can find their own way to enjoy and benefit from yoga. There’s a little time at the start and end of most classes for questions and individual help – and you are welcome to get in touch to talk about yoga. Or you could book a 1-to-1 – see 1-to-1 and Private Sessions

Cancellation and Refunds
For cancellation of Zoom sessions up to 12th Sept, you may have a full refund less £10 admin fee.  After 12th Sept, you may have a refund of 75% of the value of the remaining full weeks less £10 admin fee.  For in-person sessions, you may have a full refund less £10 admin fee up to 6th Sept.   After 6th Sept you may have a refund of 75% of the value of the remaining full weeks less £20 admin fee – that’s because it’s likely I turned away other bookings which are difficult to regain partway through. Instead, you may change to another class in the same time period OR give your booked place to a friend. If you have booked a series of classes and will miss one or more classes, you may make it up with any other class I offer that has space any time during the 6/13 week series or give your place in the missed session to a friend. If I need to cancel any sessions, I will replace or refund.

What you’ll need, using Zoom etc.
At the moment, for in-person classes, I am still asking people to bring their own yoga mat, blanket(s)/throw(s) and anything else you may need (such as yoga blocks, cushions, yoga belt or scarf/tie and drink). You will need similar equipment at home. I’ll give you more information on enquiry/booking. Zoom software is free of charge and generally easy to use on computer, tablet or phone. We have been amazed how well we have been able to practise together in this way. When you book a class, I will send you a link to access the session and some guidance for setting up your space at home. You may choose to turn your camera off sometimes or arrange your space so that you are not always visible – I just need to know that it’s you and that you can practise safely.

Safety and Wellbeing including Covid 19
Some measures are in place for in-person classes for the safety and well-being of all participants, myself and other people who use the venue. Please do not attend an in-person class if you are feeling at all unwell and there is a possibility you may have Covid 19. This includes a high temperature and/or a change/loss of smell or taste and/or a new persistent cough as well as other possible symptoms such as headache, nausea or cold-like symptoms. Please do not attend an in-person class if you/someone in your household has tested positive for Covid 19 or if you’ve been asked to isolate by NHS track & trace. I will offer a replacement class/refund for any class cancelled by you due to Covid 19.  Please bring your own yoga mat and other equipment.  Please wear a face covering in public areas of the venue.  Once settled in your yoga place, it’s your choice whether you wish to wear a face covering or not.
